Princess of Segovia!

Day 4 Segovia

 SEGOVIA!!!!! We woke up ver

y early, grabbed our packed lunches and hopped on the bus to head to Segovia. Segovia is a city very close to Madrid. It is famous of its beautiful castle and aqueducts. The people there are so friendly!

A bunch of us decided to stop listening to the tour guide after 15 minutes and do our own thing. One of the coolest things was seeing a band play through the town. They serenaded our Auburn group! One guy was so friendly, he whipped out a knife and gave Cait, Gregg, Caleb and I some of his sausage. You can see what I’m talking about in my pictures!

My favorite part was the castle… aka Cait’s home! Yes, we determined that Cait would be a very good princess. After touring the castle a big group of us decided to pay 2 Euro to go up to the tower. After climbing at least 20 flights of stairs, we made it to the top. I wish I could put into words how beautiful the scenery was. Wow. We took pictures, ate lunch and then headed back. It was such a fun day! Someday, Cait will be the princess of Segovia and she will invite me over to play!

That night, we went to the Plaza Mayor for ice cream and wine. We

went with a large group and we ended up getting split up. All but four of us went to the Irish Rover, a bar in Salamanca that is very popular with Americans. On Sundays it is Trivia Night. After Cait, Gregg, Matt and I were done with our ice cream, we went to look for the Irish Rover to go play with all of our friends. We ended up getting lost and found a concert in the park! The woman singing had the most beautiful voice! After the concert was over we found the bar and started playing trivia with the rest of our friends. I ended up going to bed pretty early. It was one of the best days I have had here, full of laughter and great conversation.
